CAPANNA KIND – 10% DISCOUNT AT THE SELF SERVICE
This awesome self-service restaurant serves pizza, pasta and (to quote my nephew) ‘the best lasagne in the world’. Cheap, fast and great quality, Capanna Kind ticks all the boxes for a lunchtime stop on the mountain and is in a perfect position in the Sportinia area. Word to the wise, get in before the ski schools break for lunch, if you want to get a table indoors. Outdoors, they play absolute bangers: 90s RnB and pop classics. From 3pm you’ll often find a DJ up here, so not only is it a great spot throughout the day for food & drinks, you can apres until last lifts, and hop on the Sportinia chairlift to get back down, if you’ve had one too many.

CIAO PAIS – 10% DISCOUNT AT THE RESTAURANT IN THE EVENING
For an authentic, warm, and welcoming mountain atmosphere with wholesome plates of local cuisine, Ciao Pais is always the best choice. They have a well sized interior with it’s rustic charm and also a good size outdoor area for when the sun is shining.
But thats not all – they’re also open at night. You might ask how on earth you would get there as the lifts don’t run that late. Well, for €15pp* Ciao Pais will arrange for you to be collected by skidoo from the Clotes lift and brought to the restauant – definitely something you’ll remember! The menu remains the same throughout the day and night, so if you don’t manage to get a reservation for the evening, get yourself down Red Run 2000 during the day for the best lunch you’ll find on the mountain.
*The skidoo ride to Ciao Pais is not included on the Discount Card

Located in the Sportinia area you’ll find Chalet Capannina. The restaurant has a large and welcoming room and a panoramic terrace and offer typical dishes of Italian cuisine, classic pasta first courses and excellent meat.
In the evening, on reservation, they also organize fantastic dinners with skidoo or snowcat transport to get up there. After dinner, you can descend on your skis or snowboard with torches and a qualified ski instructor.

MONTE TRIPLEX – 10% DISCOUNT AT THE RESTAURANT
A great option for a quick stop or a relaxing lunch. Monte Triplex has both indoor and outdoor seating and serves the typical Italian mountain food, along with pizza and cold meat options for sandwiches.

LA SOSTA – 10% DISCOUNT (MINIMUM SPEND €10)
Perfectly situated at the top of the Clotes lift, La Sosta is a great spot to stop for a coffee in the morning and lunch in the afternoon. They have an outside terrace for when the sun is out, but also indoor seating if it’s chilly. You can even visit the restaurant for an authentic mountain meal in the evening, including a skidoo ride up and back down – you’ll need to book, though.
With a passion for local, hearty cuisine it’s no wonder that La Sosta receives so many great reviews and is a favourite amongst returners to Sauze d’Oulx

IN THE TOWN
L’ASSIETTA – 10% DISCOUNT ON EVERYTHING
The outdoor area is always packed on a sunny day – it gets every ray of sunlight until the moment it sets. The modern mountain vibe means its a great place for a classy morning coffee and pastry, and they do a lovely little pasta and panini menu at lunchtime. It’s one of our favourite spots for a late lunch if we come down from the mountain early, and if you manage to nab an outdoor table, no doubt you’ll stay put until the time for that famous aperitivo we’ve already mentioned, rolls around. Evening meals in the ‘Stube’ restaurant are hearty, tasty and full of flavour. Think gnocci, raclette and wild boar ragu, or something from the pizza overn paired with a glass or two from the local regions.

L’ORTICHE – 10% DISCOUNT WHEN PAYING IN CASH
You wouldn’t find L’Ortiche if you weren’t looking for it, but if you aren’t looking for it, you’re missing out! Top-notch, innovative takes on traditional dishes. There’s some great flair in the kitchen here, and a carefully selected wine menu to match. The flavours are balanced, the presentation is on point and the ambience is perfect – it feels like a special night out, but you don’t need to worry about dressing up to the nines. It’s tucked just behind Derby Bar, by the way.

FAROLA – 10% DISCOUNT ON EVERYTHING
Farola’s food menu is an absolute joy. There’s a la carte, but also an Italian Tapas-y style menu, and you can mix and match from both. The dishes on offer change seasonally, but the stuffed courgette flowers are *chef’s kiss* . And those perfectly crispy croquettes? My mouth’s watering just at the thought. The place is small and intimate and filled with lively chatter, and the vibe is relaxed. Each wooden table and chair is unique , so in between mouthfuls of tasty morsels, we usually find ourselves marveling at the craftmanship that’s gone into the decor. A little pricier than your average Sauze restaurant, but still incredibly reasonable in ski-resort terms. Also, if you want a fancier breakfast than espresso and croissant, Farola is the place to go.

Max Bar is always a favourite amongst British tourists and the locals alike. Serving the best English breakfast in Sauze d’Oulx as well as burgers, sandwiches, chicken curry and more. It’s a super friendly place that always has an awesome rock music playlist in the background and some truly impressive rock music memorabilia displayed. You’ll even be able to find a pint of Guiness here and 6 other great beers on tap. You’ll also find a couple of large TVs that show sports and the happy hours are from 4pm – 7pm to make it even better.

IL LAMPIONE (LAMPS) – 10% DISCOUNT ON EVERYTHING
In the old town, Lamps is where you go if you like your wine local, and your bar staff to know the difference between Monkey 47 and Ophir. They have an incredible selection of gins, whiskeys, cocktails and wines. This is the perfect bar for a romantic evening, or a good catch up with old friends, over great quality drinks. There’s no standing room, it’s fairly small, and once people are in, they’re likely to linger, so you might struggle to get a table, but if you manage, you won’t regret it.

Located just off the main square almost under Cafe Seggiovia you’ll find Casa Mia Below. Serving the typical dishes of Piedmontese cuisine, cooked with simple and genuine ingredients. They have a great Neapolitan pizza and burgers that will make you want to come back
