Sestriere Piste Map
Via Lattea & Sestriere Piste Map
Who wants to ski or snowboard in just one country, when you can visit two in the same day? Buy a lift pass in Sestriere, and you can access around 400km of pistes and all five ski areas of the Via Lattea / Milky Way / Sestriere, Sazue d-Oulx, San Sicario, Claviere all the way to the French resort of Montgenevre. Each area has its own, distinctive character. Sestriere boasts wide, cruisy blues that are perfect for beginners, and plenty of long, tree-lined runs from summit to resort. Sestriere manages to be both sun-kissed, and hold the snow well. You’ve got easy access up the gondola to Sauze d’oulx, where you’ll find great natural snow into ‘The Bowl’. Head the other way to Claviere, and you’ll thank us for introducing you to this hidden gem. Claviere offers more experienced skiers and boarders some really nice off piste, while just a couple of lifts further gets you into France and Montgenevre, with the best maintained snow park in the area and some of the best rolling greens through to blacks in the whole ski area. Finally, there’s San Sicario. You can easily spend a whole afternoon lapping the lifts there, but be aware: you can only get out on a long, narrow drag lift. So, maybe don’t take the beginner snowboarders there on your first day. One of our fave resorts, Sestriere has enough of everything to keep everyone happy.
