Il Centro
With a massive pizza menu, and specials (written on the board outside) changing daily, there’s a lot to love about Il Centro. The veggies & vegans will be grateful that they’re catered for here, and it’s hugely popular with locals & tourists, alike. If the Italians flock here for the pizza, you know you’re onto a winner. Just make sure to book in advance, they always have a steady stream of people at the door desperate for a table.
Le Stagion
If you want quick, cheap, easy and delicious, Le Stagione serves pizza by the slice. It’s more of a café than a restaurant, but a great place to stop for a snack when you don’t want a sit down meal. Would recommend the veggie pizza. Perfect crispy base, loads of cheese and a slice is just the right size to see you through until dinner time.
Kovo
We mentioned Kovo already, as a bar, but the food here is great. Big, juicy burgers, great local wine by the glass, and a young and friendly vibe where you’ll feel right at home. It’s less ‘traditional Italian’, more ‘come eat, drink & be merry’ vibes. Get yourself down there for the food, then keep the party going as it livens up through the night.
L’Antica Spelonca – in Borgata
Ooooh, yeah! A proper hidden gem (that everyone knows about because it’s just so good), if you’re lucky enough to be staying down in Borgata, or don’t mind a walk, this is the place to go. It’s authentic, home cooking with a great attention to detail, some really clever flavour combinations and an atmosphere that’ll leave you feeling like you’ve been wrapped up in a great, big hug. The menu is small, usually presented to you hand written, as you’re squeezed through the den to your table. It’s unpretentious, it’s delicious, and this is why we love it. Book in advance.

Rifugio Aquila Nera
The ‘Black Eagle’ soars above the rest (get it?). If you want great, wood fired pizza, even better views, and friendly staff, you can’t go wrong with Aquila Nera. Prices are reasonable and there’s plenty of choice. An all round great spot for lunch when you’re out skiing.
