Söll Ski Resort
Söll ski resort is one of those places that just gets everything right. It’s part of the huge SkiWelt area — one of Austria’s biggest — which links up over 270km of perfectly groomed pistes across nine resorts, all on one lift pass. You can cruise from village to village, tackling everything from mellow beginner blues to long, sweeping reds with stunning Wilder Kaiser views.
It’s a great choice for mixed groups — plenty of relaxed runs and cosy huts for cruisers, plus some sneaky off-piste and steeper terrain for those who like a challenge. The ski schools are excellent, the lift system is fast, and snowmaking covers pretty much the whole area, so conditions are solid all season.
Söll has built a bit of a reputation for its fun, friendly atmosphere. The après scene is classic Austrian — think live music, schnapps, and ski boots still on the dance floor. It’s not rowdy like St. Anton, but there’s always something going on, and the locals know how to make you feel welcome. Combine that with its affordable prices, easy transfers from Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich, and the charming, walkable village — and you’ll see why people keep coming back year after year.
