Söll Après - The Best Bars & Nightlife

Après Ski, Bars & Nightlife in Söll

Söll is one of the liveliest villages in the SkiWelt — famous for its fun, friendly après ski scene that perfectly blends traditional Austrian mountain bars with live music venues and relaxed modern pubs. When the lifts close, the energy in Söll shifts up a gear: music starts, the drinks flow, and the village comes alive with that unmistakable alpine buzz.

That said, Söll’s nightlife has evolved in recent years. It’s still great fun, but it’s no longer the wild, anything-goes party resort it once was. These days, the atmosphere is a little more grown-up — less rowdy, more social — with live bands, great drinks, and a friendly crowd that’s here for good times, not chaos. It’s the perfect balance for anyone who loves après ski but prefers a more relaxed, welcoming vibe at the end of the day.

Start your afternoon on the mountain at the Umbrella Bar at mid-station, soaking up the sun with a drink in hand, before skiing down to Moonlight Bar or Hexenzeit for that classic Austrian après — think beer steins, dancing, and friendly laughter that spills out into the snow. Later on, head into the village for live music at The Mill or S’Austria, where the atmosphere stays lively but never over the top.

And if you’re in town on a Friday, don’t miss Söller Freitag — when the village square transforms into an open-air mini-festival with DJs and live acts. It’s a highlight for both locals and visitors, and perfectly sums up what Söll does best: fun, community, and mountain charm.

Moonlight Bar

When the skis come off and you’re ready to switch into party mode, Moonlight Bar is the go-to spot in Söll. From about 3 pm the party kicks off with DJs and live music, three floors of good vibes and plenty of space to mix drinks, dance or relax. It doesn’t feel like a tourist trap — you’ll find locals, repeat visitors and ski-out guests all having a good time. If you want that classic Tyrolean après ski energy — beer, schnapps and ski boots still on — Moonlight has it.

Hexenzeit Schirmbar

If you prefer something a little more relaxed but still buzzing, Hexenzeit Schirmbar delivers the best of both worlds. Located up near the lift-area it’s easy to drop in after a day on the slopes. The feel is rustic-chic with big communal tables, a grill outside and live or DJ music underneath the umbrella of the bar tent. It hits that sweet spot between laid-back and lively — perfect if you want to stay into the evening without the full club scene.

The Mill Irish Pub

For something a little different in the village, The Mill is Söll’s Irish-style pub with a mountain twist. Expect Guinness, craft beers, a strong pub-menu and regular live music nights. It’s less about ski boots on the bar and more about good conversation, live bands and that warm friendly vibe locals love. On Saturdays it gets going particularly well with double live shows, so it’s ideal if you’re up for a proper night out with music and laughs.

S’Austria

Centrally located and stylish, S’Austria is the modern bar option in Söll that still keeps alpine roots. They serve good cocktails, long drinks, craft beers and run live music sets frequently. It’s not full-blown club scale, but it’s lively, polished and fun — great if you want something after dinner, not too chaotic, but with enough energy to keep going.

Umbrella Bar (On the Mountain)

High up on the slopes, this is your “on-the-mountain” bar option for après ski in motion: no need to ski back to the village right away. At the mid-station you’ll find the Umbrella Bar — perfect for an afternoon break with skis still on, terrific views and a drink with the mountain breeze. Mondays and Tuesdays are often the best days here: fewer crowds, good sunshine, and the relaxed terrace feels just right.

Söller Freitag

Every Friday the village centre of Söll transforms for Söller Freitag — a lively street-event with live music, drinks, open-air DJ sets and a genuine community atmosphere. Locals and visitors gather next to the old nativity/in village square for a few hours of fun from around 4 to 7 pm, with a feel that’s festive but not over the top – it’s part of the mountain-village rhythm and worth timing your evening around.
