Planning a ski holiday in Sauze d’Oulx? Once you’ve looked into snow conditions – and we’ve got a full blog about that – the next question is often about lift passes. How much do they cost? Do you need the full Via Lattea pass? And what about Bardonecchia, which is now part of the mix? We live here year-round and have tested it all, so here’s the straight-talking guide.

What’s included in a Sauze d’Oulx lift pass?

A Sauze d’Oulx lift pass doesn’t just cover Sauze. You’re tapping into the Via Lattea (Milky Way) ski area: 400 km of pistes connecting Sauze, Sestriere, Sansicario, Claviere and even Montgenèvre in France.

That means you can:

  • Cruise Sauze’s famous tree-lined reds.

  • Ski Olympic runs in Sestriere.

  • Take a cross-border adventure into Montgenèvre.

  • Escape to the quieter slopes in Sansicario.

💶 How much does a lift pass cost in Sauze d’Oulx?

Prices change each season and they haven’t yet been released for winter 2025 / 2026, but as a rough guide:

  • Day passes: €45–€55.

  • 6-day passes: €250–€285.

  • Season passes: under €1,000, making it one of the best value season ski passes in the Alps.

Compared to the big French resorts, it’s excellent value — you’ll ski all week here for the cost of a couple of days in Courchevel.

That opens up another 100 km of pistes and 22 lifts, with slopes rising to nearly 2,800 m. It’s only 15 minutes by train from Oulx or a short drive from Sauze — another great option for a day’s skiing.
